Holidays: We observe the same holidays as the state of
California. Please be prepared to make alternate childcare arrangements
on these days.

Some Useful Tips for Parents
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
Sign your child in, and please, no later than 11:00 am (unless at a
doctor's appointment). Your child should also be ready for lunch and a
nap, not waking up from a long sleep.

change of clothes, special
blanket, or stuffed animal for nap time, and his coat.
Take your child to a teacher, fill her in on his evening and morning,
while teacher performs a morning health check. This may be a cursory
glance.
A full breakfast is served every morning until 8:15 am. Let your child
fix his or her own food and decide whether to eat.
If your child needs a noon dose of medicine, drop it off in the
kitchen and sign the chart giving us permission to administer the
medicine. |

The key to a good
separation in the morning is to make it definite that youre leaving,
and after assuring your child that you will come back, leave promptly.
We have a waving window.
Close the gate securely when you leave.
WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR CHILD
Sign your child out when you arrive.
Find a teacher and inquire about your childs day.
Collect all your childs belongings from his cubby, including his
artwork.

Only authorized adults can
pick up a child. Ask about pick-up identification cards.
Please arrive by 6 pm. If you are late we will charge you $5.00 for
every 5 minutes youre late. The money goes directly to the teacher who
must stay late while waiting for you.
Other TIPS
Use a carseat to transport your child if he or she is under 40 pounds.
California state law requires you to do this.
Park courteously. We have
limited parking space |

available. If youre not sure where you can park,
please ask.
Feel free to call us during the day to see how your child is faring.
Call us if your child is not coming or if he/she is coming late.
Dress your child for fun, not fashion.
Label ALL your childs clothes and belongings with permanent laundry
pen.
If your child is in diapers, bring a box a week..
Bring extra clothes Lots if your child spills, wets, or falls a
lot.
Leave at home: Family heirlooms, money, marbles, guns or knives,
candy, gum, toys small enough to be swallowed or choked on,
irreplaceable favorites.
Read the parent bulletin board every day. Post your own notices there.
We are a parent information exchange.
Talk to us. If you have a problem, tell us immediately. We want to
help.
Friday is show and tell day. Your child may bring a special toy or
book to share with the class.
You must supply a clean labeled crib sheet and blanket every Monday.
Take it home and launder it over the weekend.
We hold parent-teacher conferences at your request or ours. They are
mandatory for both parties. |
